Google is hoping to get students hooked on the affordably priced Chrome book and the simplicity of its Chrome OS by taking the Internet-connected laptop on a tour of colleges across the U.S. Google is creating a Chromebook Lending Library where students can check out a Chromebook to check out the features, explore the usability, and try out Chrome apps for free.
Google says that students can keep the Chromebook for as long as they're on campus, which is roughly a few days.

- Auburn University: 10/13 - 10/16
- ASU: 9/29 - 10/2
- Central Florida: 10/6 - 10/9
- GW: 9/22 - 9/25
- Pennsylvania State University: 9/8 - 9/11
- Syracuse at Walnut Park: 9/15 - 9/18
- Texas A&M University: 9/21 - 9/24
- Texas State University: 9/15 - 9/18
- UCLA: 10/7 - 10/10
- University of Colorado Boulder: 9/7 - 9/10
With Chromebooks starting at $199, Google is trying to push Chrome OS into the education segment where Apple has a strong grip.
